Søre Fagerfjord could serve as the cornerstone of a wider Arctic conservation and natural-capital initiative.
Long-term ownership comes first
Our objective is to find an owner or owners with the capacity and perspective to preserve Søre Fagerfjord for future generations. The opportunity may remain straightforward: acquire AS Kulspids and keep the property intact and protected.
A wider platform is optional. A future owner could develop it around the property, with selected co-investors, philanthropic partners, family offices, foundations, scientific institutions and environmental organisations.
A SELLERS’ COMMITMENT
A Founding Commitment to Arctic Conservation
The sellers will commit to making a significant contribution from the proceeds of the sale of AS Kulspids to a dedicated environmental foundation to be established in connection with the transaction. This founding contribution is intended to provide initial funding for conservation work across Svalbard, the wider Arctic and the northern seas.
The current owners would therefore help fund the environmental ambition associated with the sale. Their contribution would give the proposed foundation a tangible starting point from which to support practical conservation work and build partnerships over time.
Its proposed mission would encompass vulnerable habitats and biodiversity on land and at sea, scientific research and long-term environmental monitoring. Working with conservation organisations and research institutions, the foundation could support projects that improve understanding of Arctic ecosystems and contribute to their protection.
The founding contribution could also provide a basis for attracting further philanthropic support from individuals, family offices, foundations and other partners. Additional contributions could help extend the reach of the initiative and sustain its work over time.
Søre Fagerfjord would remain the geographical and historical starting point for this wider mission. The foundation would complement the ambition for responsible, long-term stewardship of the property, while supporting environmental work beyond its boundaries. Alongside any wider Arctic Preservation Platform, it could provide a dedicated philanthropic channel for carrying this environmental purpose forward.

A separate natural-capital platform
Alongside the objective of preserving Søre Fagerfjord, a wider platform could invest separately in qualifying nature-based solutions, carbon projects, biodiversity initiatives and other environmental assets. The objective would be measurable environmental impact and, where appropriate, sustainable financial returns.
Potential future financing
Expansion could draw on investment capital, philanthropy and natural-capital projects. Tokenised investment in the wider platform could also be explored, separately from ownership of AS Kulspids.
These are potential future structures for consideration, rather than an established platform or a current token offering.
